FERMAX VIDEO DOOR PHONE SYSTEM
Description: MDS (Multiplexed Digital System) is a digital audio and video door-entry system that integrates all the services of the apartment block or housing complex: 1. AUDIO AND VIDEO DOOR ENTRY SYSTEM. 2. INTERCOMMUNICATION between accesses, homes, guard units, and lifts. 3. ACCESS MANAGEMENT CONTROL according to authorisations to restricted areas. Each user has an identification code for all accesses. 4. SECURITY centralised in the guard unit, for protection of communal areas and control of incidents in the homes. 5. AUTOMATION of functions and services of the apartment block or condominium (sprinklers, lights, swimming-pool, etc.). • Allows managing buildings and condominiums of whatever size. • MDS is a system with simplified BUS installation. • The CENTRAL UNIT incorporates all the electronics for management and control of the system. • The floor DECODERS connect the homes to the installation BUS and act as isolators. Home to outdoor panel communication is private. MDS Configuration - Individual Block Configuration Up to 9999 residences. Up to 1022 users. Up to 32 accesses, including up to a maximum of 10 Guard Units. - Multi-Block Configuration Each Block, up to 9999 residences, 1022 users, up to 31 accesses (maximum of 10 guard units). Up to 63 Blocks.

2425 - AUDIO DECODER 8
The MDS DECODER is the ´intelligent´; element of the system. Installed at the different floors of the building, it links up the apartments with the outdoor panel and the rest of the elements of the installation. Call to every apartment is generated by the Decoder to which it is related and sent to the corresponding telephone. Full privacy communication, which means it cannot be heard from any other telephone. Decoder isolates the houses from the rest of the installation, so that any telephones off hook do not affect the operation of the system.
There are different types of BUS in the MDS installation: • AUDIO + DATA BUS (cable 4 wires+screened twisted pair, Ref.5918) For interconnection between panels– decoders–central units. • VIDEO BUS (cable 3 wires + coaxial, Ref.5919) For connection between video panel camera–distributors. • M O N I T O R C O N N E C T I O N B U S ( c a b l e , Ref.59200) For onfloor interconnection between decoder+distributor and monitor of the apartment. TELEPHONE CONNECTION BUS (cable, Ref.5922) For onfloor interconnection between decoder and telephone of the apartment.
2405 - MDS CENTRAL UNIT, DIN, 1 ACCESS
The MDS Digital RailDin Central Unit (ref. 2405), is the logical evolution from the MDS central units with references 2420 and 2421.
Designed in a DIN10 format in order to make the installation process easier and to reduce the amount of space required.
TOTAL compatibility with all of the devices and software developed by FERMAX for the MDS system is granted.
The MDS Central Unit can work as an audio door entry system (including video signal) working as an MDSDIGITAL system and also as an entry access control system, working as an MDSDigital Controller.
In an MDS DIGITAL system a Central Unit is indispensable, as it incorporates the most important part of the electronic management and operating equipment of the system, including the software. A Central Unit can manage up to 32 accesses. * Access: any device for door opening control. * Audio/Video Access: those that also have Audio/Video for communication with the apartments, (Audio Entry panel, Video Entry and Guard Unit panel).
2537 - MDS DIGITAL DESKTOP GUARD UNIT
For MDS Digital systems. These can be combined with other types of systems such as MDS Direct, MDS City and ADS. T h e M D S D I G I T A L s y s t e m c a n simultaneously manage multiple guard services. These can act as basic guard units, or building’s administration centres or as panic call reception centres (where they act as guards and their function is to receive alarm warnings generated once a panic button has been pressed. This is incorporated into the telephone itself or a monitor installed in the residence, or in another location within the home). One sole guard unit can carry out both functions. During normal operation, calls made from any access panel to the building are received by the Central Guard Unit, allowing the guard to advise the relevant resident of the visit, pass him/her the call, or deal with it personally. The Central Guard Unit can also work in what is called mixed mode, during which visitors’ calls are received by the corresponding residence, but it is possible to call the guard directly with any queries, telephone number for a particular residence etc. On the other hand, the Central Guard Unit also receives calls from residents who wish to speak to the guard. If the guard is not available when a call is received, the call will be recorded (up to a total of 20) and he can respond to them on his return. The guard may also connect 2 residents, on one of their requests.
Description of the image. + Display: Offers a range of information when using the Central Guard Unit. + Search Keys: Press the arrows to locate the name of the resident you wish to call. Start the search by pressing the right arrow. + Call Key (bell: To call residential telephones or other guard units. + Operation Keys: Door opener: Door opener activation key. Guard Communication Telephone: Activate the communication channel between the GUARD UNIT and the last TELEPHONE called. Panel Communication Telephone: Activate the communication channel between the PANEL and the last TELEPHONE called. Guard Communication Panel: Activate the communication channel between the GUARD UNIT and the last PANEL to be called. Guard Communication Panel Decoder: Activate the communication channel between the GUARD UNIT and the Panel connected to the PANEL DECODER selected via the keypad. Residential Communication Residence: Activate the communication channel between two residences. + Data Keypad. Located below the telephone receiver. It is used to enter the telephone number of the residence you wish to call, check calls waiting, enter and check data in general. It is also used to programme residential terminals as if it were a panel.

87701 - MDS VIDEO PANEL
Panels for MDS Digital systems. These can be combined with other types of systems such as MDS Direct, MDS City and ADS. The MDS Digital panels are characterised by their: 4+ N Amplifying Module: also called «phonic group», this is the module that incorporates the electronic circuits necessary for the operation of the audio system. It has volume adjusting options, both on the streetresidence option and the residencestreet option, and the installer can adjust these to achieve the optimal level. LCD Display: The MDS Digital panels incorporate an electronic directory which allows you perform a user search (names of residents...) through a LCD display and navigation buttons. The various system parameters are programmed using a keypad and the display. Numerical keypad: Generates the MDS call code to residence. The call to the residence can be made by entering the corresponding code assigned to the residence + the «bell» key, or using the electronic directory: with the navigation buttons select the owner of the residence you wish to call and press «bell». Access Control: The MDS Digital system incorporates access control functions entering codes using the numerical keypad. Furthermore, it allows a secondary proximity card reader module to be connected to the display from the digital panel. The users and their card or keypad codes are stored in the «MDS Central Unit » and are managed using the panel keypad and display. Visor to install the telecamera module (b/w or colour) in video door entry systems. This system requires a Central Unit. The Central Unit is the main nucleus of the MDS Digital system, which incorporates the most important part of the system management and operation electronics, including the software.
2419 - 8 S MDS DIN VIDEO DISTRIBUTOR
System installation just requires BUS type wiring. A cable runs through the vertical installation in the building connecting the outdoor panel with the apartments and also interconnecting the different blocks in the case of residential areas. The MDS D E C O D E R i s t h e “intelligent” element of the system. In the case of video entry system, it is necessary to add an MDS VIDEO DISTRIBUTOR on the floor to split video signal 1 unit for every 8 apartments (video door entry system). Operates along with a DECODER. |
